Together with Carla they are a comedic duo, without Alvin Carla is just a weird healer with a bad personality.

THAT'S the problem. Carla isn't a "weird healer with a bad personality", she's an annoying, unlikable character who emotionally abuses Alvin and everyone around her, she talks crap to people, toxic and manipulative, and she's a pain. She's that kid in class nobody likes because they're so annoying.
And last episode, Brigan refered to her as a "disaster land mine healer" and a pain in the a** elf", to which Carla responded by calling him a criminal. Granted, Brigan instigated the situation, but he's not wrong about Carla, so when she called him a convicted felon, got him mad by demanding a fight, and then procceded to put him in jail because of his name, all Carla's done is prove his words and the rumors about her to be true.
And a comedic duo they are not. The jokes aren't even funny, they run for far too long, and how can I laugh when Alvin's the butt of the joke because of Carla's crap? Plus Alvin's done things where the only person to blame is him.

He was a joke even before their meeting, as previous episode demonstrated when he was laughingstock in Hero Guild.

Unarmed healer can beat him in hand-to-hand combat or even mushroom (weak, basic monster). Alwin are very pathetic warrior and his incapability are his own fault, which he show to be aware to some point.

While he IS a joke, I'll admit, there's a part of me that DOES genuinely feel bad for him, because of a lot of stuff he has to deal with, be it the way he looks with his mask off, the curse placed on him, everyone looking down on him, and of course, Carla being a b**** to him.
However, there HAVE been moments where he kinda brings it on himself, so for me it's a mixed bag with Alvin.

That mushroom can bend iron bars tho.

Never thought that Carla actually use a healing spell without a catch in one episode. Also, I like how Anna and Altargaia is playing whack-a-mole with Ryoko.

A lot of humorous moments like with the Mimic and Carla's yelling. Seems this actually had some buildup that leads to the finale.

Carla's talking made the mimic lock itself inside lol. Alvin complimenting Carla on her skills is nice. Btw, what a fun game of whack-a-ghost.

They have become a full party. Thief, storage bag, healer, fighter and Alvin.

The storage bag probably is more of a support role then just a storage bag.

I was half expecting Carla to simply disappear the arm completely when the cloth was removed, and just say "well it isn't broken anymore, this beautiful and goddess like healer has made the pain go away!"

And it still will be considered a magic trick...

Alvin actually sincerely thanked Carla for partying up with him, I guess he's been enjoying his adventures with her more than he likes to admit.

They both need each other. Alvin is probably the only human adventurer who will deal with Carla’s shit ans Carla is the only person who will team up with someone as weak as Alvin. They are the PERFECT duo

I am pretty sure Alvin understands clearly that he would've been dead by now if he wasn't with Carla. Sure she is a handfull and sometimes does more harm then good, but he is surviving. But since they aren't fighting any monsters, they are not getting stronger either.

hes been an adventurer for over a decade. you also forgetting all the times alvin threw himself in front of carla to protect her. all the traps he triggered because he wasnt scared to "go first". yall need to give my boy the credit he disserves. without alvin this show would flop.

Next episode Alvin wears a crown against a 5 star magic user he knows lol wonder how that will turn out for Alvin XD!

Now that Anna has joined the party, looks like Alvin will now be receiving twice the amount of insults compared to when he was just with Carla and Altargaia.

That poor mimic though! Finally found the perfect chance to scare people after waiting for three days only for Alvin to ruin the surprise when he decided to scare Anna and Carla while opening the chest.

That mimic might need to take a break from scaring people after that encounter considering how Carla showered him with her savage insults. xD

The encounter with the cyclops changing her clothes was hilarious! I definitely did not expect that she'd start talking like a gyaru when Carla distracted her while Alvin retreats.

That "Fawkyuu!" from Carla while she was healing Alvin came out of nowhere that I genuinely almost did a spat my drink while watching that scene. xD

I am surprised that she ended up healing Alvin's arm without the need for her weird rituals or the spell backfiring in some sort of horrible fashion.

I do love how Carla was genuinely panicking after Alvin thanked her sincerely for healing his arm. That entire scene was actually pretty cute!

Anna and Altargaia playing whack-a-mole with Ryoko was adorable too! I definitely didn't expect that kind of shenanigans while Alvin and Carla were having their semi-serious talk.

One more episode left and it looks like they're doing an anime original episode! I can't wait to see how Carla is going to end up annoying the big bad into submission next week!
